- The Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG and 2100 Drivers for Linux project was created by Intel to enable support for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection, Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection mini PCI adapters and Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection mini PCI adapter. This project's (IPW2200) and (IPW2100) are intended to be a community effort, as much as is possible, given some working constraints (mainly, no HW documentation is available).

Installing the Intel ipw3945 A/B/G wireless network adapter using FreshRPMS

- This is a brief guide to installing and setting up the Intel 3945 A/B/G wireless network adapter using FreshRPMS. It is NOT recommended to keep FreshRPMS enabled on a constant basis. Instructions will be given to install the repo and keep it turned off. You will still be able to use it when desired for specific packages by using special yum flags to temporarily enable the repo on an "as needed" basis. Keep in mind, performing a "yum update" with multiple 3rd party repos enabled (i.e. Livna, FreshRPMS, Dries, DAG) WILL result in yum errors and possibly a corrupted system that is a pain to fix and can cause hours of problems.. or at the very worst, a total reinstall. Use of multiple 3rd party repos requires care and forsight to avoid these problems.
